Perfect Pumpkin Ale by Gletcher

Pumpkin Ale is the hallmark of American brewing and a favorite warming fall variety. The first mention of this beer is found in 1771 in the Journal of the American Philosophical Society. Initially the recipe did not contain grain wort, and pumpkin decoction was fermented. It wasn't until the 19th century that malt was added. Here's what the first printed recipe for pumpkin ale sounds like, which was our inspiration for creating our seasonal beer:

- "Pumpkins are smashed in a trough and crushed like apples. The extracted juice is boiled in copper for a long time and what floats to the surface is carefully skimmed off so that no fibrous part of the pulp remains. After this is done, let the liquor be hoped, chilled, fermented, etc. like a malt beer."

Especially for Halloween, Gletcher has brewed a warm amber-colored pumpkin ale.  And for the fans of the sweetness they made a variant of pumpkin ale with baked apples and cinnamon which was brought to you by the company Lisko Plus especially for Halloween!
